Slow news day? Hardly

There's a war going on, in case we forgot. Syria's pulling out of Lebanon, at least partially, there's still genocide in Darfur, and there's the little matter of the fact that Italy is really mad at us for having killed their head of security in Iraq. The Pres's social security initiative is on life support, they finally named a suspect in last March's attempted of Taiwanese President Chen Shui-Bian, and the Pope's health continues to deteriorate.

But The New York Times seems to think that the following merits their front page:



Yes, that's a diagram of the locker room dynamics for the New York Yankees. Don't get me wrong, it's interesting. But newsworthy--in this day and age? I think not.
